Job Description
- Establish, implement, and maintain a robust EHSS Management System in compliance with ADVANCED requirements, local regulations, and international standards
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems, programs, and standards across petrochemical operations
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate EHSS performance, identifying best practices and improvement opportunities through internal reviews and external benchmarking
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements, including timely submission of reports, permits, and Environmental Permit/Operation (EPO) documentation
- Develop and sustain programs to enhance EHS and PSM compliance using innovative, risk-based approaches
- Lead and oversee risk assessment activities, including HAZID, HAZOP, JSA, QRA, and Environmental Impact Assessments
- Manage incident investigations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies and ensure closure of corrective and preventive actions
- Develop, review, and approve EHS and PSM policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
- Promote a strong safety culture through leadership engagement, communication, training, and visible EHS leadership
- Manage EHSS performance reporting by analyzing KPIs, trends, and statistical data and presenting insights to senior management
- Lead implementation and continuous improvement of Process Safety Performance Indicators in line with API RP 754 (Tier 1–Tier 4)
- Establish governance and assurance processes for API RP 754 reporting, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Oversee the development, implementation, and governance of the Mechanical Integrity (MI) Program covering pressure vessels, piping, relief systems, rotating equipment, instrumentation, and critical safeguards.
- Lead audits, assessments, and performance reviews related to Process Safety and Mechanical Integrity, ensuring effective closure of findings
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering)
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in EHS and/or Process Safety within petrochemical or process industries
Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Effective planning and organizational abilities
- In-depth knowledge of EHS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Hands-on experience in risk assessment methodologies
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and controls
- Experience in Quality Management System (QMS) auditing
- Strong data collection, statistical analysis, and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
